Josya (“Josya”, “we”, “us”) operates the website https://josya.in, an online store for handcrafted jewellery, rental jewellery and 92.5 silver customization. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect
When you place an order: your name, billing and shipping address, phone number, email address, and details of the products you purchase. If you choose Cash on Delivery, we also record the advance payment made.
When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number and order history, stored in your account profile.
When you save your cart or begin checkout: if you enter your phone number or email (for example, in our “Save your cart” prompt), we store it along with your cart contents so we can send you a reminder and help you complete your purchase.
When you contact us: any information you share with us over email, WhatsApp, phone or our contact forms, so we can respond to your query.
When you leave a comment: the data shown in the comments form, your IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.
Automatically: like most websites, we collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below).
How We Use Your Information
- To process, pack and deliver your orders, including customised and rental jewellery
- To send you transactional updates about your order (confirmation, payment, dispatch, delivery) via email, SMS, WhatsApp or RCS
- To send cart reminders if you saved your cart and did not complete your purchase
- To send promotional offers, discounts and new collection updates, where you have consented (see Marketing Communications below)
- To provide customer support and handle returns, exchanges or rental queries
- To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations
- To improve our website, products and services
Marketing Communications
By providing your phone number or email address on our website — at checkout, account signup, or cart-save prompts — you consent to receive transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates) from Josya by Deepanshi Gupta.
Where you have opted in, we may also send you promotional communications — exclusive offers, discounts, restock alerts and new collection updates — via WhatsApp, RCS, SMS, email and other electronic channels. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, using the unsubscribe link in our emails, or writing to us at [admin@josya.in]. Opting out of promotional messages does not affect transactional messages about orders you have placed.
Payments
Payments on josya.in are processed by trusted third-party payment gateways, including Razorpay and PhonePe. Your card, UPI or netbanking details are entered directly with the payment gateway and are never stored on our servers. These providers process your payment data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable payment security standards.
Who We Share Your Data With
We only share your data with service providers who help us run our store, and only what is necessary:
- Payment gateways (Razorpay, PhonePe) — to process your payments
- Shipping and logistics partners (such as Delhivery and FedEx) — your name, address and phone number, to deliver your orders within India and internationally
- Communication platforms (such as Interakt) — your phone number and order details, to send order updates and, where consented, promotional messages on WhatsApp, RCS and SMS
- Spam detection services — visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser that help the site function and improve your experience.
- Essential cookies keep your cart contents, login session and checkout working. Login cookies last for two days (or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”) and screen option cookies last for a year. Logging out removes login cookies.
- Comment cookies: if you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies for convenience. These last one year.
- Analytics and functional cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site (such as the cart) may not work properly without essential cookies.

How Long We Keep Your Data
- Order records are retained as required under applicable Indian tax, accounting and consumer protection laws.
- Account information is kept for as long as your account is active. You can view, edit or delete your personal information from your account at any time (except your username).
- Saved cart details are kept for a limited period to send reminders, after which they are removed.
- Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically.
- Marketing consent records are retained to demonstrate compliance for as long as we communicate with you.

- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data

International Orders
If you order from outside India, your data (name, address, phone number) is shared with international shipping carriers and customs authorities as required to deliver your order and comply with export regulations.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including secure (HTTPS) connections across the site and restricting access to personal data to those who need it to serve you. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Media Uploads
If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on the website.
Children’s Privacy
Our website is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
